The group D.O.C. Sound was born from the original idea to offer "live" music played without hindrance from "electronic instruments" that may pollute and take it in a different direction.
Hence the italian name " Suono a Denominazione di Origine Controllata"(an english translation means: keeping to an original authentic sound i.e. not tampered with) which the three musicians love and therefore is reflected in the name and approach.
With this approach, they offer their own arrangements of "cover songs" played with three acoustic guitars, banjo, harmonica, percussions and sometimes with ethnic instruments such as: the south american "charango" to help the expansion of "acoustic italian music" not only in Italy but everywhere, like all products " D.O.C.".
Those listeners who hear for the first time these covers, immediately recognize the importance of the title too "Acoustic Machine"! Car like the one on the CD cover (Acoustic Machine vol. 1) portrays the need for style and care without electronic aides but still mechanically sound metaphorically speaking.
In the first collection of songs, "Acoustic Machine year 2001", there's presented a simple but carefully constructed where the acoustic guitars and vocals are finely arranged and pleasurable to listen to with the addition of one "live" track.
In the second work, "Acoustic Machine vol. 2 year 2002", there is a more sophisticated approach to the instruments new ones are added like: percussions and harmonica especially on the more rock-blues tracks and care taken on the arrangements too.
In the next two CD "Acoustic Machine vol°3 year 2003" and "D.O.C. Sound MMIV d.C. year 2004" Fabrizio Sulliotti also plays Banjo, Charango and Sikus.
Songs from Country music to "Sardinia" Etnic style are here revisited end played with more personal feel and arrangements .
